Fall 2013

Tentative plans are now in the works for a trip to Honduras in either October/November 2014 or March/April 2015....lots of needs at the school....let the fundraising begin!!

Fall 2013

The Friends of Honduras Annual General Meeting will take place at 7 PM on January 28, 2014 at the ABC Restaurant, 2900 Douglas Street, Victoria, BC.

Fall 2013

Angela & Myron, a young couple who have a family connection with the Friends of Honduras Society, made a very generous gesture just prior to their wedding in August 2013. The wedding invitations they sent out contained a request from the couple asking their guests, in lieu of buying the couple a wedding present, to give a donation to the Friends of Honduras Society. To date, that request has resulted in well over $2000 in donations to the Society. Many thanks to Angela & Myron!

April 2013

FOH was privileged to be invited to be one of approximately 15 exhibitors at the Women on Mission event at Central Baptist Church in Victoria on April 13, 2013. With almost 90 women in attendance it was a great opportunity to present the FOH mission to a diverse group of ladies from many different backgrounds.

March 2013

The student's are back in school and thanks to some generous donations over the past few months FOH has the funds to supply them with school uniforms (including shoes!), food for a noon meal each school day and school supplies. Each of the students will also receive a small backpack so they can more easily carry their books and papers. There has also been a donation of some medical supplies which will be transported to Honduras later this Spring. Many thanks to all those who continue to so graciously support the work of FOH.
